Our client is a leader in the railway industry. We are seeking a Rail Depot Maintenance Manager to lead the project and the team based out of the Middle East (flexible). This is a senior level position and you will be responsible for leading a large team of professionals and maintaining excellent relations with clients at the highest levels.
Functions: Reporting to the Country Manager you will be responsible for:
Planning of the necessary monitoring milestones and fulfilment of the objectives set.Planning of human resources and necessary materials.Technical monitoring of trains along with financial planning.Responsibility for direct and indirect reports of a multidisciplinary team comprised of engineers, team leaders, technicians, and workshop staff.Making certain the team is resourced, motivated, and organised to deliver on all established KPIs.Meeting all contractually established KPIs and managing/defending any technical problems or contact penalties with the client.Planning and monitoring of corrective maintenance programs and train modifications.Leading any corrective maintenance programs of the workshop equipment.Ensuring that the fleet maintenance regime is certificated and compliant with all relevant legislation. Requisites: A qualified Engineer with at least 10 years' experience in the Rail sector. Fully proficient in spoken and written English. Knowledge of any other languages such as Arabic would be a real plus. Previous management experience in relevant similar roles involving the maintenance and overhaul of safety-critical systems/equipment in a rail operational environment. Solid project management experience with multiple internal and external stakeholders is essential. Up to date and proven engineering/technical knowledge of rolling stock systems and maintenance policies/practices and a deep knowledge of rail industry legislation. You will be a proven leader with well-honed communication skills and a strong orientation to both results and client satisfaction.
