Created in 2005 by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia) and the University of Barcelona, IRB Barcelona is a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence—a seal that was awarded in 2011.
The institute is devoted to conducting research of excellence in biomedicine and to transferring results to clinical practice, thus improving people's quality of life, while simultaneously promoting the training of outstanding researchers, technology transfer, and public communication of science.

The contract will be funded by PDC2021-121010-I00, financed by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and the European Union "NextGenerationEU"/PRTR.DUTIES:The successful applicant will perform experiments in:Experimental molecular biology (PCRs, cloning, westerns), Alpha screenings, Cell reporter assays, cell and tissue analyses (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence etc.)
techniques.Work efficiently and cooperatively with a team of researchers in support of projects.Fluent communication in English.EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:Must Have - RequiredExperience: At least 8 years of experience in research institutions.Knowledge: Degree/Master's in Biology/Biotechnology or similar, with experience in animal models of research.
Histopathology.Skills: Experience with PCR, DNA extraction, basic database handling, molecular biology (PCRs, cloning, westerns), Alpha screenings, Cell reporter assays, cell and tissue analyses (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence etc.)
