We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Plumber to join our Northampton Schools Account.
This role is on-site based at Waterside House and will require travel to all schools on the Northampton account.
The salary is £32 - £35, dependent on qualifications.
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Northampton Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 42 schools (five secondary and 37 primary).

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.
The standard hours of work are 40 Hours Per Week, Monday - Friday.

You will be responsible for: Liaising with site based staff and onsite Amey employees.Able to read building drawings and blueprints to understand and plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems.General plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains, toilets and sinks; maintaining and repairing the hot & cold water system.Fault finding, checking, repairing and making good faults.Life expired equipment inspections, temperature testing and risk assessments.Carrying out routine PPM tasks.Ensuring the asset listing for the designated premises is kept up to date and in line with the service level matrix for the site.Reactive & Planned Preventative Maintenance.Mains water supply repairs.Minimise wastage and continually improve processes.This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.We want to hear from you if you have: A full UK driving license and NVQ Level 2/3 or both City & Guilds 6089 Plumbing.Ideally you will also have 5 years' experience in commercial plumbing and strong health and safety awareness.In addition to this, you will have the ability to support other fabric and maintenance trades/tasks as required.Amey is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff to demonstrate this commitment in every aspect of their work.
