A Day in the LifeWe're seeking an experienced Enterprise Accounts Leader (EA) to spearhead strategic planning and execution for our key customer (strategic) accounts in Spain, with a focus on accounts in Catalonia.
You'll focus on value co-creation with customers and businesses, crafting and implementing strategic plans, driving significant customer value, and accelerating growth for Medtronic.
Your role involves fostering C-Suite relationships, leading and coaching experienced Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), and ensuring alignment with revenue goals and cross-business opportunities for both your own and your team's strategic accounts.
Main Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesYou will focus on Strategic Account Planning by developing and executing integrated, multi-year account strategies that emphasize long-term value co-creation for both the enterprise and the customer:
Leading a team of 3 strategic account managers who are experts in their field, focusing on the regions of Galicia, Basque Country (Bilbao), Catalonia (Barcelona), and Andalusia (Seville).Conducting business reviews to ensure consistency and alignment, identifying new opportunities, and coordinating across internal Operating Units (OUs) to align on pan-company strategies.Acting as a strategic partner, guiding the organization to transition from product sales to an outcome-oriented and customer-centric solution selling approach, optimizing patient outcomes and improving cost-efficiency in healthcare.Creating differentiated value propositions aligned with the customer's future goals in all aspects of your work.Leading collaboration across various departments (e.g., OUs, IHS, legal, finance) and leveraging insights and assets from these collaborative departments to create mutual value and smooth solution delivery while owning the account strategy to ensure alignment of all key functions throughout the sales and post-sales process.Focusing on building long-term, transformational partnerships with your strategic customers involving multi-year strategic planning and continuous value creation.Establishing and nurturing senior-level relationships and their expansion (e.g., C-Suite, health authorities, COOs, CMOs, and CIOs).Delivering on your targets by leading a team of strong and experienced Strategic Account Managers, ensuring further development, coaching, talent management, recruiting, and succession planning.Establishing local operating mechanisms and interfacing with all MDT businesses and functions to ensure pan-Medtronic alignment and the delivery of strong account-level plans benefiting both the customers and the Operating Units.Must Have Experience & Key CapabilitiesMaster's degree in business, medicine, or a related field preferred.10+ years of relevant sales experience (8+ years with an advanced degree).Senior-level business management experience in complex solution selling and consultative sales; technology for the healthcare sector is considered a plus.Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory factors in Medical Device, Healthcare, or Pharma within a multinational matrixed environment.Consulting background with strategic thinking and analytical skills to navigate complex business environments.Committed to building an inclusive, engaged team that values diverse skills and talent development.Proven ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including C-Suite executives.Adaptability and experience in organizational change through influential leadership.Experience in value co-creation, driving growth, and enhancing customer experience by leveraging internal capabilities.Successful management of large, complex projects demonstrating commercial acumen.Fluency in English, Spanish, and Catalan required.Travel requirement: Min 40% within Spain, additional travel within Europe as needed.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
