WOOD is looking for a Senior Project Engineer with proven experience in a major engineering contractor within the Oil & Gas Industry.
Responsibilities: Participates in the coordination of the engineering activities during the development of the project.Coordinates the preparation of Project Specifications by the various discipline departments.Assists / prepares the Coordination Procedure and the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in collaboration with the Lead Engineer and the Project Manager.Interfacing with the project team and the Client.Assists the Engineering Coordinator in the review of approved Project schedules and ensures that the Detailed Programs include all the Engineering activities of the units under his charge.Prepares the Project Specifications as assigned.Reviews the requisitions of the Critical and Principal Equipments of the assigned Units.Reviews and approves the vendor drawings of the equipments requisitioned.Identifies and follows up the Contract Changes.Prepares man-hour estimates to support contract changes.Assists / prepares the monthly Progress Report.Minimum Requirements: Relevant Diploma / Degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering.Proven record ranging from 5 to 10 years of relevant experience performing equivalent duties, preferably with an EPC Contractor, in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical or Mining & Metals business areas.Conversant with international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, etc).Knowledge of Microstation, PDS and SmartPlan3D.3D Model knowledge, including knowledge in SmartPlant Review and Navisworks.Teamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills.Ready to work in an international environment and to learn international engineering working practices.Spanish language at native level.Excellent command of English.Available immediately.Valid European Work Permit.Diversity Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
