Join us as a KYC Analyst - Merchant and let's make magic happen together.Role OverviewAs a KYC Analyst Merchant, you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless onboarding experiences for our valued customers. Collaborating closely with FinCrime, Compliance and Operations, we ensure a comprehensive approach to risk mitigation and regulatory adherence without forgetting to ensure a great UX for our customers. You will be part of the KYC Team and will report to the KYC Team Lead Your mission:Conduct due diligence. Ensure comprehensive capture of appropriate client documentation and facilitate timely onboarding, with a focus on merchant customers.Analyze and assess profiles. Verify identities, identify potential red flags, and escalate particular cases to the FinCrime team for further review.Provide customer support. Assist customers primarily via email, ensuring a smooth onboarding and verification process.Perform periodical reviews. Conduct regular reviews on existing customers to maintain up-to-date records and compliance.Utilize screening databases. Screen customers using PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) databases and adverse media sources to identify potential risks.Challenge processes. Continuously improve by challenging existing tools, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Your ideal profile:Relevant experience. 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a startup or the financial sector.Legal framework knowledge. Good understanding of relevant AML/KYC legal frameworks.AML/AFC qualification. Qualification from ACAMS, ICA, or a similar industry body is considered a plus.Language proficiency.
