The HR and GRE team is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Team within Group Audit Deutsche Bank. Our audit mandate covers Human Resources and Global Real Estate. The team is based in Frankfurt and Madrid and operates globally.
The Principal Auditor leads or participates in audits of these areas in accordance with the Audit methodology, and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks within those business areas.
Key Responsibilities:Execute day-to-day operational audit work and contribute to the delivery of audits, including risk assessment profiles and business monitoring.Plan audits, document activity flows of the processes to be reviewed, identify risks, and the key actual controls in place to mitigate those risks, and attend meetings with internal stakeholders as required.Execute audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach, testing key controls to determine whether they are properly designed and operating effectively, and document work in accordance with Group Audit standards.Draft high-quality audit reports for review by audit management and facilitate tracking of and validate the closure of issues.Lead a team of Auditors and Principal Auditors on individual assignments.Partner with other divisional teams to guarantee an integrated approach.Complete all assigned audit work in line with agreed budgets.Required Skills and Capabilities:Sound audit/business knowledge and experience, and an understanding of the risks and regulatory requirements in Human Resources and Global Real Estate.Good understanding of the global banking control environment and compliance issues in the banking/finance industry.Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, at all levels of Group Audit and internal stakeholders. Fluent in English.Strong relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, influencing, planning, and presentation skills.Very good knowledge of auditing standards and concepts.Able to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organization, transfer knowledge, and develop the capability of team members.Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.Professional/industry recognized qualifications, e.g., accounting qualifications such as ACA and CPA.The role might involve some business travel for individual audit assignments.Our values define the working environment we strive to create - diverse, supportive, and welcoming of different views.
