Technical Accountant Analyst (M/F/d) for the Regional Middle Office Center in Madrid Location: Madrid, Spain A Regional Hub is established in our Spanish Branch, which is responsible for Reinsurance Non-Life technical accounting and claims handling for Iberia, Latin America, Caribbean, and Italy.
We are looking for a flexible and highly motivated Technical Accountant Analyst in this demanding, dynamic, and international setting, contributing with expertise and engagement in this growing multicultural team.
Your job: Check reinsurance statements of account based on the reinsurance terms and conditions and verifying calculations, both for treaty and facultative business (direct and via broker).
Process the statements of account in our SAP systems.
Arrange for payments and request outstanding balances from our clients.
Close cooperation with Underwriters, Client Managers, and the International Organization.
Ensure the quality of data for the quarterly closing and annual financial statements on contract level.
Correspondence/contact with cedents and brokers.
Analyze and present reinsurance and accounting matters to various stakeholders.
Assume responsibility for a specific group of clients.
Participate in challenging projects and working groups globally.
Profile: Degree in administration, finance, economics, or business sciences; preferably with professional experience, but recent graduates are also welcome.
Knowledge of accounting, preferably also in insurance and/or reinsurance.
Expertise in MS-Office, particularly Excel, and preferably in SAP tools.
Analytical skills and accuracy in dealing with figures.
Self-confident approach combined with a high degree of dedication to working effectively and independently, willing to face new responsibilities.
Team spirit; interest in and capability to expand, maintain, and pass on knowledge.
Strong communication skills and high degree of intercultural competence.
Language knowledge of Spanish and English (written and spoken).
Being prepared to take a future Combined Role of Claims Handling and Technical Accounting.
