Kotlin Software Engineer

My client is a rapidly expanding global tech company boasting a diverse portfolio of over 40 software products, ranging from text messaging and event ticket purchases to AI chatbot interactions for support.

As a Software Engineer within the In Person Payments (IPP) domain, you will play a pivotal role in an agile and multidisciplinary SCRUM team, collaborating with peers in Madrid. Fluency in English is crucial given our multicultural work environment.

Within the IPP domain, our focus is on streamlining transactions in card-present environments. This involves guiding the design, development, maintenance, and operation of various products in the In Person Payments portfolio.

We are actively seeking a Software Engineer with robust proficiency in JVM technologies, specifically Kotlin. If you bring prior experience in payment systems, whether in card-present or card-not-present environments, that would be a significant advantage.



Qualifications: Over 5 years of software development expertise on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) stack (Java 11+, Kotlin).
Proficient in frameworks such as Quarkus and Springboot, with a strong command of Containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in using Gradle and Git for software building and testing.
Bonus: Familiarity with the Payment industry, encompassing PCI DSS and EMV standards.
Fluent in English; familiarity with Dutch and/or Spanish is beneficial considering the distributed team across Amsterdam and Madrid.
Must be located within travel distance from Madrid.
