(Ko688) | Biomaterials And Cell Culture Laboratory Technician

DESCRIPTION: IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking a laboratory technician to support the activities of a biomaterials and cell culture laboratory. Responsibilities include establishing the proper layout and maintenance of the laboratory (management of purchases and maintenance of the stocks of the consumables), tasks related to biosafety such as updating standard operating procedures and key work practices, training others in these protocols, maintenance of the equipment, training of new users, and maintenance of mammalian cell lines and routine cell culture experiments.
REQUIREMENTS: A good command of English (both oral and written) is mandatory. Previous experience with mammalian cell culture and/or cytotoxicity assays is a plus. Candidates must be over 16 years of age and under 30 years of age, and registered as an unemployed job seeker in one of the employment offices of the Community of Madrid. Applications must not contain a photograph; candidatures that do not comply with this requirement will not be considered.
CONDITIONS: This contract will be funded by the Call for grants for implementing the INVESTIGO programme within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan - funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The working language of the Institute is English. Full command of the English language is required in all positions. Besides on-the-job technical training, IMDEA Materials Institute is committed to training the Institute's scientists and staff in "soft" or transversal skills.
