WHAT YOU'LL DO: As a Knowledge Business Director (KBD) within BCG's Operations Practice Area, you will lead the Practice Area's knowledge business by developing and driving the strategy and execution of the portfolio of knowledge assets and services.
Alongside setting the direction for the Practice Area's Knowledge agenda, you will also be responsible and accountable for the Practice Area's Knowledge Team and its performance, including economics (client billability, P&L), customer satisfaction, and team satisfaction KPIs.
As part of this, you will be the global leader of the team; you will inspire and motivate the entire team,
as well as line manage and mentor a team of senior Knowledge Team members who collectively manage the practice's KT.
The Operations practice area (OPS PA) is one of BCG's largest Functional PAs.
We offer tailored, fully integrated solutions to optimize operations for long-term success.
Functional experts and experienced practitioners with cross-industry expertise provide a broad spectrum of advice, methodologies, trainings, and tools ranging from pragmatic, hands-on operational improvement programs to simulation and enablement capabilities.
Our PA covers the entire operational value chain from Product Design to Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Service Delivery.
These offerings include highly integrated transformational, AI/digital, and climate-related capabilities.
As our KBD, you will also be responsible for aligning the PA's knowledge business and strategy with our clients' needs and encouraging the innovation of new and expanded knowledge offerings.
You will also drive the constant evolution of our global Knowledge Team and contribute to strategic initiatives in the broader Knowledge domain.
In doing this,
you will team with the senior leadership of the practice including topic and regional leaders.
In addition, you will contribute on a regular basis to global, cross-practice initiatives and programs.

In lieu of consulting experience; 15+ years of industry experience required in an operational domain.Bachelor's Degree required, (advanced degree preferred)5+ years of line management experience preferredIdeally experience in managing a P&LInternational experience preferredYOU'LL WORK WITH: As a Knowledge Business Director, you will work closely with the Global Practice Management Senior Director and Practice Area Leader and be an integral part of the Practice Area Leadership Team.
You will also work with the leader of global PA KT as part of the Practice Global KT Leadership Team.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients.
KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda, and building and deploying leading-edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.
BCG's Knowledge Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information.
KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
