Scope of the position The student will learn about Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine (which is very famous given that in this area we have many Michelin star restaurants). The intern will be involved in the different sections of a Gastronomic Restaurant and social events. The intern will be part of an international team of 30 persons dealing with banqueting, cocktails, room service, lounge bar, pool bar, gala dinners, and the gastronomic restaurant. At the end of the internship, the student will be able to provide a 5-star kitchen service, develop kitchen orders, organize a gastronomic kitchen, create the rota timetable, and accept goods.
Duties and responsibilities: Prepare the misse en place Provide an efficient food service according to the outlet the intern is working Follow the supervisor's instructions and learn our "know how" Learn the recipes and be consistent in production Take care of kitchen tools and materials Participate in the daily work as the rest of the cooks Requirements: Fluent level of Spanish or English Great working abilities and willingness to learn Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine Independent worker Ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary team and a gastronomic restaurant Flexibility Proactive and passionate about cooking No previous work experience is required Candidate must be eligible for getting Spanish Visa – NIE in order to perform the working agreement.
