Provide leadership and guidance to cooks, kitchen assistants, and other kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.Support training and development of team members, helping them improve their skills and advance their careers.Quality Control : Ensure that food preparation and presentation meet the hotel's high standards.
Monitor portion control, food presentation, and quality before dishes are sent to the dining room.Conduct regular taste tests and inspect dishes for consistency, taste, and appearance.Food Safety and Hygiene : Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards (HACCP).
Monitor and enforce food safety practices, ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and that all staff follow hygiene protocols.Regularly check storage areas, refrigerators, and dry goods to ensure products are stored properly and in good condition.Operational Management : Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen to ensure efficiency and quality.
Coordinate with other hotel departments, particularly Front of House, to ensure seamless service delivery.Ensure that the kitchen is properly stocked and manage inventory, minimizing food waste and ordering supplies as needed.Cost Control : Help manage food costs and maintain budgets.
Work closely with the kitchen manager or executive chef to control food costs, waste, and ensure the kitchen operates within budget.Assist in the ordering and receipt of supplies, making sure that deliveries are checked, stored properly, and recorded
