Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Ground and Tunnelling Engineer to join our busy and expanding experienced team.
The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects.
You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team.
The responsibilities of this role include: Working on international projects related to geotechnical engineering as part of the Enterprise Capabilities' family.Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to ground and tunnelling engineering.Works in numerical modelling for ground engineering and tunnelling services using specific software (FLAC3D / MIDAS GTS / PLAXIS, etc.)
and programming languages when required.Active participation in digitalization processes as well as in the development or start-up of new specific tools for the team.Processes geotechnical data for ground interpretation and report preparation.Supports in the preparation of geotechnical designs and recommendations such as bearing capacity for foundations, earthworks, stability and settlement analysis, etc.Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members. Qualifications: Proven track record of working on ground and tunneling engineering designs and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (Experience with international regulations and standards.Skilled in using various software packages for analysis and design such as PLAXIS (2D/3D), FLAC (2D/3D), MIDAS GTS NX or Rocscience package, etc.Skills on computer programming (Python, Fish, MATLAB, etc.)
will be considered favorably.Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.Fluent in English (oral and written).Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University.
