We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to oversee our key accounts in Spain and Portugal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with strategically important customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities: Successfully manage existing key accounts and target new key accounts within the agreed budget and defined strategy.
Implement the strategy at the Igualada (Barcelona, Spain) site with the respective team member.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in Spain and Portugal.
Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, logistics, and production, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to key accounts.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of account activities and prepare regular reports on account status and performance.
Travel as required to meet with key accounts and attend industry events.
Strategic Responsibilities: Create a 3-5 year key account plan covering all aspects of a strategic business development plan.
Lead key growth initiatives for specific accounts while establishing an internal organization that contributes to growth and reflects customer needs.
Develop and commercialize solutions that create superior financial returns and meet the changing needs of the marketplace and/or key accounts.
Outcomes: Identify and develop potential new solutions and ideas for key accounts in all areas of business (innovation, cost saving, process optimization).
Coordinate new profitable growth programs to drive successful business performance.
Consolidate and increase GPI's portfolio at key accounts.
Create new key accounts.
Establish long-term relationships and contracts between GPI and the customer.
Be responsible for at least one multinational customer.
Define a 3-year strategy plan for customers (segments, region, requirements).
Have full P&L responsibility for customers.
Use both standard and nonstandard contract terms.
Have an excellent understanding of the company products and applications.
Manage a medium to long-term sales cycle.
Drive new and existing customers' technical solutions to create growth in their business.
Identify and evaluate new client projects and present updates to the management team regularly.
Collaborate and coordinate the execution of new business with internal stakeholders and provide assistance in optimizing the client relationship.
Discuss developments with senior management and commercial teams during the sales and proposal process.
Provide sales plans, forecasts, and results.
Report in a logical, structured, and timely manner.
Manage the agreed network capital parameters with customers.
Properly solve problems and challenges as they arise.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel frequently within Spain and Portugal.
