Position Summary: The PC&L Specialist incumbent will be expected to perform all shipping and receiving duties, material movement to the production line including repack and delivery, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
The PC&L Specialist is expected to demonstrate the BW Core beliefs and be an example to all PC&L associates.
Key Roles & Responsibilities: This position reports to the Production Controls and Logistics (PC&L) group. Collaborate and share ideas generated by continuous improvement efforts within the department and throughout the facility.Safely perform all tasks assigned, including all positions within the PC&L department.Support while driving self-development to allow for department flexibility through learning multiple positions and supporting based on business need.Safely operate all equipment and certifications of the PC&L fleet including (where applicable) all Powered Industrial Equipment (Tugger, Sit Down, Pacer, Reach, Swing Reach, Electric Jacks).Provide support on inventory management by performing root cause analysis for all variations with inventory as needed.Support with part change management as needed.Communicate between teams, support groups, and/or plant leadership teams.Support and drive 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.SAP entries and L2L (Leading to Lean) transactions as needed (if applicable).Assist in administration of daily operations management meetings.Report progress to Management as needed.Other duties as assigned.Assist in training and educating employees within the department.Overtime may be required.Emphasis on Work Instruction Process.Develop, maintain, and document PC&L department work instructions.Ensure audits are being completed through periodic inspection.Support training through follow-up and validation of training sign-offs.Conduct monthly meetings with team trainers to drive continuous improvement around training and development.Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create effective training materials.Amend and revise training materials as necessary.Document and maintain all training records.Facilitate information sessions and tours with BorgWarner partners.Conduct and support safety observations as an acting backup team leader.Back-Up to Battery Operation Repack material to introduce to production line in a quality standard.Ensure 5S is always maintained on the production line.Completion of Hazmat Certification.Ensure hazmat shipping and receiving requirements are held to standard and followed.Safety measures are followed and always maintained during material movement.Safety, Health, and Physical Requirements: Complete DOT HAZMAT training prior to material movement of hazmat products. Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts. Ability to work from heights. Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Stepping up and down off lift; walking long distances over extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts. All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the safety policies and procedures. Flexibility to work a flex schedule based on business needs. Wear all PPE as required. Traveling up to 10% when needed.

Education & Experience: Education: High School diploma/GED or basic skills assessment required. Experience: Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred. Experience in fast-paced industrial lean environment preferred. Knowledge of PC&L department preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexible work schedule/ability to work overtime as needed.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
