At Schneider Electric, we call this Life Is On.What will you do?The Privacy Engineering team within Digital Certification, within Schneider Digital, supports application teams to meet internal and external personal data protection requirements.We manage over 4, software applications globally and work with the community of 5, professionals that have broad reach across Schneider Electric (SE) and are at the forefront of innovation.Our global cybersecurity and privacy implementation organization is seeking a Privacy Engineer that is passionate and enthusiastic about data protection and privacy. This engineer will work directly with SE teams to review our software applications and associated processes to ensure they are privacy compliant and perform privacy reviews and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).This role is part of the Digital Certification team and will work closely with the Data Protection Officer. The Privacy Engineer will be working in collaboration with other cybersecurity and privacy professionals, application owners, legal teams, and engineering organizations.ResponsibilitiesThe Privacy Engineer will work with project teams to ensure that applications meet personal data protection and privacy regulatory requirements by performing Privacy reviews and Data Protection Impact assessments (under European and other regulatory requirements).Review applications to identify risks, provide mitigating actions, and ensure compliance.Perform privacy compliance reviews and present them to relevant stakeholders.Perform risk assessments to evaluate the privacy risks for individuals and the company.Draft recommendations with respect to personal data processing, data minimization, transparency, data retention, cookies, etc.Advise on effective solutions for enabling privacy and data protection by design and by default capabilities.Work with the team to develop processes, templates, training and awareness materials.Test and help create new products and tools to identify use cases and areas for improvement and automation of the privacy reviews.Research and analyze legal or regulatory requirements (including incoming privacy laws worldwide) to translate privacy rules and policies into actionable engineering requirements.What qualifications will make you successful for this role?3 years minimum of experience in the privacy field, including previous performance of privacy reviews
