.Your missionAs a Senior Data Analyst of Engineering, you will be responsible for providing insight and analysis into the performance of our delivery procedures and teams. You will combine your domain knowledge and experience of quantitative and statistical methods to ensure that our overall strategies are data driven. You will present and guide Sr. Managers & Directors to consume the reports and insights needed to align to key performance indicators. You will be part of a team responsible for driving insight into the effectiveness, quality and efforts distribution of software engineering projects, generating the insight to drive decision-making and informing development strategies.You will be required to support across many engineering teams covering several areas of analysis, such as delivery performance, team productivity, technology alignment, product health and quality, among other.You will be able to understand software development concepts and terminology and interpret the data to report to leadership.What you'll do Take primary responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of all Engineering Analytics. You will provide your own critique on engineering performance and operational procedures, and provide thoughtful recommendations on options to improve their KPIs.Work with Engineering leadership to define and measure a range of KPIs within digital products, identify key data points and how they relate to broader engineering strategy.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track effort metrics and progress.Perform hands-on analysis in support of business requests, including development of conclusions and recommendations.Carry out analysis of the existing data sources and business processes to determine the construction and testing time of a product to be deployed.Structure, analyse and report on performance from data extraction (SQL), to integration of new data sources and statistical analysis (Python) to visualization (Tableau or other visualization tool).As part of the Business Intelligence team, develop and implement best practice methodologies for the quantitative analysis & visualization of data.Lead meetings with users and technical architects to gather requirements and provide actionable insights.Design conceptual data model in order to depict new solutions along with logical data model.Ensure data quality and accuracy by performing regular data validation and cleansing.Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.Foster a data-driven culture by promoting the use of analytics in decision-making processes.What you'll bring Strong knowledge of probability and mathematics, with the ability to apply these principles in practical scenarios.Curiosity and ability to interrogate and analyse numbers to derive actionable insights.Be a role model within the team, actively sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues, mentoring others to help the team work with best practices and standards
