About the Team The MWC Project Management Office in Barcelona is a dedicated team within the GSMA who work across, and in close collaboration with our internal / external stakeholders and strategic partners to deliver the largest, most influential event for the global connectivity ecosystem.
About the Role Senior Project Manager - Mobile World Congress Barcelona: Support the MWC Barcelona Programme Lead in project and budget management of different programmes/initiatives, taking ownership and making things happen.
The role is for an experienced Senior Project Manager who can work autonomously, in a global environment and under pressure.
The Senior Project Manager role works closely with the MWC Programme Lead and cross functional teams to successfully manage and deliver against priorities.
We are looking for a team player who is well organised, detail oriented, who can actively and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities These responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below: Programme / Initiatives Project Management: Participation and ownership of multiple projects implementation, reporting, budget management across all phases of the project's lifecycle and delivery milestones.
Project management and coordination with internal / external teams to manage, monitor and report across delivery.
Stakeholder management: Manage expectations for different stakeholders: internal stakeholders, partners, and governmental entities.
Direct support to the Programme Lead in liaising with all stakeholders and programme management.
Set up specific planning and timelines for each project, work on the improvements from the previous year, liaise with the internal marketing department for promotion and communication.
Communication and Negotiation: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, partners, and suppliers, to manage dependencies and ensure project requirements and goals are met.
Problem solving and conflict resolution skills supported by consistent, respectful, and effective discussion and resolution of issues when they arise.
Supplier and partner management: Manage the relationship with suppliers and partners on a day-to-day basis.
Maintain close communication, foster collaboration and a pathway to success by setting clear goals, managing timelines effectively, coordinating their requirements with the GSMA teams and follow up on the progress of their performance before and during the event.
Other local, Barcelona-specific activities: Opportunities to support ad-hoc cross-functional projects as needed.

Excellent skills using MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and other.
