Job Description Summary
The Risk Modeling Intern will be reviewing, updating, and analyzing complex financial & operational models of long-term performance management contracts for Aero derivative gas turbine technologies. The individual will be using a proprietary modeling tool and following strict policies and guidelines while ensuring the accuracy of the financial model, process rigor, and compliance, as well as identifying potential contract risks, including commercial, technical & operational risks, as well as opportunities for productivity. The intern will have exposure working with the leadership team.
Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesPartner with Operations & Finance teams to perform annual review of the financial performance vs. budget and update projections for each contract.Understand contractual terms & conditions; identify potential risks & opportunities.Understand gas turbine technology operating & maintenance considerations.Understand Multi Year agreements policies, modeling procedures & business forecasting standards.Provide detailed scenario & variance analysis; identify & recommend ways to maximize contractual profitability.Provide training and analytical support to the Operations team in ongoing contract execution to maximize contract profitability based on unit operational profile, contractual requirements, technology state of the art, and financial/accounting rules within GE Gas Power.Portfolio analytics.Qualifications / RequirementsCurrently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration.Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with great communication ability.Results-oriented and deadline-driven personality.Fluent in English (working proficiency).Work StyleCandidate is ready to work in presence at the Madrid office (hybrid work possible: office and remote).
