About BSC
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science under one roof, and currently has over 1000 staff from 60 countries.

Context And Mission
The High Performance Artificial Intelligence research group is growing, attracting both young talent and resources. This position is intended to fit a starting role, and will be compatible with the finishing of undergrad studies.
Key Duties
Provide support to the automation of research activities, contributing to the internal services.
Push the dissemination of work done within the group.
Contribute to the creation of prototypes and proof-of-concept studies.
Requirements
Education: Ongoing or recently finished degree on AI or CS.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:
Experience with LLMs (0-1 years).
Experience in Machine learning (0-1 years).
Experience with Python (0-2 years).
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:
Experience in HPC environments (0-2 years).
Competences:
Experience working in teams.
Good communication skills.
Fluent in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
Conditions
The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department.
We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, and support for relocation procedures.
Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration.
Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement.
Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Starting date: 23/11/2024.
