Their diverse expertise encompasses environmental stewardship, tailings management, resource optimization, and the valorization of steel and mining by-products. By minimizing the environmental impact of steel production, reducing resource depletion, and promoting the efficient utilization of valuable by-products, the team aims to create a sustainable approach that balances the extraction of raw materials with the well-being of ecosystems and local communities.Your Role Assist in conducting research, analysis, and testing with the aim of re-using or valorizing the steel by-products.Assist in collaborating with suppliers and external partners to evaluate new materials, technologies, and methodologies for processing and utilizing steel by-products.Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in metallurgical technology, and regulatory requirements relevant to steel by-products.Design and oversee laboratory and field experiments.Analyze and interpret research data to generate insights and recommendations.Develop and validate models for predicting the behavior and performance of the solutions designed.Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations for internal and external audiences.This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, surpass roadblocks, and develop innovative solutions for the utilization of steel by-products.Your Profile Master's degree or PhD in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mining Engineering, or a related field.A first experience would be appreciated.Basic understanding of metallurgical principles, techniques, and methodologies applicable to steel by-products.Able to challenge current technologies / propose new ideas to research on disruptive environmental solutions.Experience in project management and management of stakeholders' expectations.Advanced levels of English and Spanish.Initiative, Adaptability, Results Oriented, Team Work, Technological Curiosity.According to ArcelorMittal Global R&D values:You agree to comply with health and safety rules.You are respectful, transparent, honest, and empathetic in your relationships.You honor your word and your commitments to others.You agree to behave consistently with the highest level of integrity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
