This site is labeled an Innovation Plant within Corbion, meaning that this is often the first location to produce new products and implement new technologies. You will be part of a knowledgeable, versatile, and creative team. As our Junior Procurement Buyer, you are together with the Category Managers jointly accountable for product-related (Energy, Raw Material, Packaging) activities for our plant in Montmeló. The Category Managers of Raw Materials and Packaging lead commercially, but you will support them with the development and execution of category strategies, SAP master data, engaging with the supplier base, and internal cross-functional teams. You are jointly accountable for cost savings ideation, documentation, long-term/pipeline savings project generation, and delivering against individual, department, and company annual targets/KPIs. You will be involved in procurement initiatives in the areas of Security of Supply, SRM, Sustainability, and others. You will proactively update management on issues and opportunities within your scope of responsibility. Responsibilities Support in the development of sourcing strategies for the product-related category while interacting with relevant Business Partners and stakeholders. Support Category Managers in negotiations to seek the best Total Cost of Ownership contracts and the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers. Develop an in-depth understanding of the assigned categories' impact of price volatility on business performance. Develop category knowledge and work cross-functionally across responsible spend areas. Support Category Managers with analytical support (e.G., Spend analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, etc.). Follow the Purchasing procedures and ensure they are in line with ISO and company requirements. Support initiatives on procurement strategies, SRM, Sustainability, audits, etc. Support all SAP related activities and act as a back-up for operational activities within the Non-product-related area (PO placement, Order confirmations, invoice checking, etc.). The Junior Buyer will be working closely with the Procurement Category Managers on this portfolio. About you Energetic and highly motivated to learn. Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, business, or engineering. 1-3 years' experience in procurement with a focus on chemicals (or willing to learn). Preferred experience with ERP (SAP). Strong analytical skills and excellent Excel skills. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Outstanding drive for results and continuous improvements. Ability to lead cross-functional projects. Ability to understand, communicate, and support the execution of procurement strategies
