What do you have to offer? Experience as a payroll specialist is a plus.
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
Knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
Written and speaking proficiency in French.
English will be used as a main communication language within the company.
Ability to assess the user's situation, fundamental wishes, and needs.
Curious, with a need to figure out how things work (investigate).
Analytical thinking & problem-solving skills.
Able to handle complaints and challenging customers.
Team player who is able to work efficiently and independently.
Open to learning and having new experiences.
Which tasks can you expect? Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc. with the assistance of a computer system.
Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed.
Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper.
Process taxes and payment of employee benefits.
Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc.
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
Handle requests and potential complaints from customers.
Prepare reports for upper management, finance department, etc.
