Fluor Plant Engineering office is part of the E&C Energy Solutions Sustaining Capital Projects Business Line.
We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our regional team (Spain) in Tarragona Home Office.
- Perform and check routine calculations, specify simple equipment, and solve problems of simple engineering complexity
- Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Assist Lead to develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, and key quantity tracking reports
- Identify deviations in job scope, estimate magnitude of changes, and initiate trends or change orders
- Assist in the review of vendor lists, preparation of quotation requests, bid tabulations, purchase orders, and considerations for substitutions for technical acceptability
- Participate in equipment and material procurement activities
- Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design
- Interface with other discipline functions
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Acquire knowledge to perform control systems sizing calculations for control valves, relief valves, flow elements, thermowells and other instrumentation
- Acquire knowledge to specify instrumentation
- Acquire basic knowledge to create instrument index and datasheets and generate reports in Intergraph Smart Plant Instrumentation database

Basic Job Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent in engineering field.
