The Spanish National Cancer Centre (CNIO) is committed to expanding its activities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in several areas of cancer research. Over the last years, the CNIO has heavily invested in developing and strengthening -omics technological platforms, deep sequencing technologies, mass spectrometry, super-resolution microscopy, in vivo imaging and cryo-electron microscopy, among other technologies. In addition, CNIO has recently incorporated new Research Groups working on Cancer Genomics. All this opens the opportunity for Big Data analysis and the adoption and development of artificial intelligence (AI)-based solutions across all Research Programmes.
To boost AI within CNIO, we seek Junior Group leaders with expertise in Big Data analysis and AI applied to any area of cancer research, including imaging, protein engineering and design, drug discovery, and cancer genomics.
Junior Group Leader, Big Data analysis and AI (Ref: JGLBDAI)
We seek a Junior Scientist with:
• A Ph.D. in any scientific area with at least 4 years of postdoc experience.
• An excellent scientific record in the development and application of AI, and Big Data analysis.
• Leadership skills necessary to develop and head an independent research group.
• Interest in collaborating with other CNIO Groups.
