The position involves multidisciplinary and collaborative work in space programs for future communications technologies and infrastructure.
You will be able to work in real space programs with the aim to implement state-of-the-art technologies in commercial satellites, starting from the feasibility and definition phases, and ending in launch, operation, and commercialization.
Within the New Programs department, you will have the opportunity to work in cooperation with industry and academia in new and challenging areas developing technologies which will end as practical implementations in space.
The responsibilities associated with the position are as follows: Oversee the design, development, implementation, test and integration processes with industry according to the requirements and planning.
Contribution to technical solutions, management, and planning, in the different internal and external projects, both national, European , and international in which the company is involved (e.g., ESA projects).
Perform a detailed analysis and definition of different system budgets.
Translate the different budgets into requirements for each of the elements of the system.
Evaluate the different technological alternatives for the system in terms of cost, complexity, and the achievable overall system performances.
Perform a coherent trade-off between the different technologies for a feasible implementation in line with the targeted system performances.
Monitoring of new developments and advances in space communication technologies an infrastructure quantum and optical technologies.
Identification, prospecting, and development of future technology programs for satellite infrastructure, in coordination with the Innovation and Product Strategy management.
Analysis and evaluation of the new quantum and optical technologies and their implementation in a product to be exploited and commercialized.
The following activities are included: coordination with the various related areas, analysis with manufacturers, cost analysis, market analysis, product definition and a Business Plan.
Preparation of the necessary documentation for the different projects in adequate form and timely manner.
Active participation in workshops and meetings.
REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS Master's degree (MSc), in Telecommunications Engineering; Aeronautical Engineering or Physics.
High level of English, both written and spoken (C1).
Knowledge and experience with telecommunications technologies, optical technologies, satellite systems, system analysis and dimensioning (system budgets, subsystems, milestones etc.).
Ability and innovative spirit to propose new ideas on consolidated, new, or state-of-the-art, or new products.
Proactive, desire to learn and ability to work as a team member.
Excellent communication, oral and written expression, analysis, and organization skills are required.
Demonstrated experience in international programs (mainly from ESA and EC) would be highly valued.
