Role Overview
Agricultural and Soft commodities (Ags & Softs) broking involves facilitating trades for physical and derivative products tied to key agricultural and tropical commodities, often referred to as "Ags & Softs." In this role, brokers work with a range of products that are essential to global food and industry supply chains, such as grains (corn, wheat, soybeans), and tropical products (coffee, cocoa, sugar, cotton).
We're looking for a junior broker to have strong analytical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment, and effective communication to relay market information clearly to clients and internal desks. The Madrid-based role may also require Spanish language proficiency for client interaction and working with local markets.

Role Responsibilities Promote TP ICAP Group.Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk.Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems.Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies.Keep trade records up to date.Update real-time manual/electronic whiteboards with market data.Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders.Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.Give live quotes to traders through the messaging systems.Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.Experience / Competences
Essential
Understands the agricultural and soft commodities world and how it is traded (e.g. physical and derivative products tied to key agricultural and tropical commodities).English language skills, both written and verbal.Understands ideas and has a viewpoint on the financial markets and global economy.Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approach.Experience in generating revenue, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving or exceeding sales targets within a competitive environment.Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, with a strong sense of ownership and a results-driven approach.Desired
