The position
As a junior consultant, you will be involved in client-facing assignments, and working with one or multiple colleagues in executing projects.
We expect you to participate in different assignments that may cover substantially different fields – from the development of next-generation batteries for electromobility to practices and technologies for reusing and repurposing end-of-life batteries. We do not formally require you to have a strong background in particular fields, but we expect that you will work to the utmost of your ability to quickly adapt and learn on the job, especially those within materials, energy engineering, and related technological domains.
Your activities will include working closely with one or two other Bax consultants, as well as with clients and other parties that Bax collaborates with in its assignments.
This job is based in our headquarters, the Barcelona office.
The candidates we are seeking
We seek fast-learning candidates who have an affinity with technology, business, and innovation and a strong ambition for fast professional growth in a small and highly-specialised consultancy firm.
Background and profile:
MSc Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related science degree is required. We look for profiles with at least two years of experience in a relevant position, ideally working on the battery topic. Additional experience in business and/or innovation management is a strong plus.
Languages: truly fluent English, both written and oral, is essential (almost all our assignments are performed in English). Additionally, we value fluency in our client's native languages, particularly Dutch or German.
Writing skills: good writing skills are essential; we need you to enjoy writing and be good at creating convincing argumentations, and easily translating complex technical concepts into clear and compelling business language.
Soft skills: we expect a great deal of autonomy and pro-activity, being able to communicate professionally with partners and clients, managing and leading discussions and public presentations.
