At Lace Lithography we are looking for a Junior Atomic Optics physicist to join the Design & Simulations team in Barcelona.
At Lace, we focus on producing a revolutionary chip lithography technology that will dramatically improve chip performance.
Your job: You will be the junior technical contributor for the simulations and design team.
This includes being hands-on in solving calculations relevant to our system, and helping the rest of the team in setting up the designs and experiments for our instruments.
Concretely, we expect you to: Perform theoretical calculations for relevant engineering components of our system.
Code, run and iterate on numerical solvers relevant to the theoretical calculations Code & evaluate atom optics simulations that reflect the interactions between neutral atoms and diffraction masks Code & evaluate atom beam simulations relevant to metastable atom beams Help design experiments and experimental devices Stay on top of the state of the art in the field and quickly implement methods published in academic papers Qualifications/Experience: Broad understanding of physics at an undergraduate level - including all fields relevant to the standard physics curriculum Good understanding of Optics BsC or MsC in a relevant field of physics/mathematics Demonstrated coding skills (you will be asked to produce examples of your code) Knowledge of python or other simulation programming languages/environments such as OpenFOAM, Matlab, Julia etc Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package including stock incentives.
