The ideal candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day accounting functions and supporting the Finance Manager in ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger Maintenance: Post journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data for local and global entities.Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify transaction details, prepare payments, and manage accounts receivable collections.Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.Expense Tracking: Monitor and record company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to budgetary guidelines.Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles.Support Audits: Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for internal and external audits.Tax Compliance: Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties, such as filing, handling correspondence, and managing accounting records.Finance Reporting: Assist in financial month-end reporting.Finance Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of budget variances, meticulously identifying and elucidating the underlying factors driving deviations from projected figures.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports: Including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP and IFRS for local and international entities.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: +2 years of experience in accounting or finance.Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with D365 is a plus).Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support senior accountants as needed.
