HR Business Partner - Spain - Full-time

Location: Madrid or Valencia
As part of the Local HR team, this role will partner with business leaders to define and execute specific people agendas, derived from business and HR strategy, focused on employee experience, talent management, future of work, employee engagement and more. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will help business leaders look around corners with evidence-based recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.
Areas of responsibility and accountabilities:
Provide strategic and proactive HR support to the assigned management teams and leaders locally based on the global HR agenda and processes coupled with strong local and business understanding.
Partner with the Global HR teams to oversee local execution of annual wheel activities such as Goal and Development process, bonus and salary review process, employee listening, diversity, talent planning, employee engagement and more.
Collaborate closely with Global-People-Experience (GPX) and the HR global expertise teams to ensure compliant and high-quality HR support to the assigned employees and leaders in Spain.
Ensure adherence to employer responsibilities and related legislation, agreements, and policies in Spain.
Take a proactive role in employee retention: ensure positive employee relations, encourage a motivated workforce, and assist in scaling our culture. Address and manage employee relations issues fairly, thoroughly, and proactively.
Proactively assess team, manager, and organizational development needs, make recommendations and partner with internal stakeholders for implementation of solutions.
Understanding the business and take a proactive role to bring in HR perspectives into discussions.
Secure good relations, cooperation and negotiations with local unions and employee representatives where applicable.
Advisor to Global and BA HR on local conditions, needs and legislation - reducing risk and ensuring global processes and initiatives are well implemented in the country.
If necessary, according to local legislation and procedures, develop country specific HR requirements and processes.
Contribute to the dotted line network to ensure consistent HR experience and utilisation of HR expertise and capacity across all Statkraft countries.
Through the dotted line, seek and receive guidance on day-to-day direction, deadlines, and prioritization, inputs on resource planning, career development and more.
Provide Facility-and Office management and personnel emergency response planning as per Statkraft Emergency Response Policy.
Qualifications:
Education: Higher relevant education, preferably at Master's level.
Experience / knowledge:
Solid business understanding.
Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law and employee relations.
Solid experience working with people and organizational development on a strategic level.
More than 10 years of experience in senior HR positions in an international matrix organisation, working with both operational and strategic HR.
Solid understanding of the operating model in Statkraft and how HR functions add value for business.
