Jr. CAD Engineer Job Summary : A Jr. CAD Engineer works in the design and development of tools and scripts, automation of tasks, definition and implementation of new standard development flows and methodologies, configuration and maintenance of industry standard EDA tools for digital/mixed-signal ICs design for leading edge technologies, among other tasks.
Products include switching regulators, display drivers, audio amplifiers, precision linear circuits and power management ICs for fast-growing portable and non-portable markets such as broadband modems, PDAs, notebooks, cell phones, telecom, fiber optics, digital camera, and network equipment.

Essential Functions : Installation, maintenance and support of ASIC Mixed-Signal Design Tools (Analog Design, Analog Layout, Digital Design, Digital Verification, Digital Physical Design, Mixed-Signal Design, Mixed-Signal Verification, MCU Software Development Kits, etc.).
License installation, monitoring and management.
Research and analysis of new Methodologies, Flows, Tools, IP Vendors, and Licenses.
Assist on R&D Tasks related to Digital Design, Verification, DFT, Physical Design, etc.
Define and implement new standard flows and methodologies.
ASIC Design Flow stages and tasks scripting and automation.
Development of a continuous integration plus continuous delivery environment applied to IC design.
Define and implement new standard flows and methodologies to enhance and automate IC design tasks.
Linux system administration, e.g.
network and server installation and management.
Data synchronization and backup among different servers.
Build a standard environment and scripts for CAD tools.
Troubleshoot problems related to machine, network and CAD tools.
Develop scripts to improve CAD tools usage and administration.
Document processes and flows.
Qualifications : Proficiency in Unix/Linux admin and networking.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Tcl, Perl, Python, csh, etc.)
and OOP.
Familiar with revision control tools (Git, SVN, ICManage, etc.).
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in system administration and supporting/installation of CAD tools.
BSEE/BSCS or equivalent (MSEE/MSCS preferred).
DevOps knowledge and experience (CI, CD, pipelines, Jenkins, GitlabCI, etc.).
Basic Digital Design and Verilog/SystemVerilog knowledge is a Plus.
