Thanks to our broad seller base, eBay has one of the widest ranges of inventory in the world. eBay is on a journey of building up differentiated positions in key categories. This new role will oversee eBay Canada's merchandising, category management and business development efforts across all verticals and in particular build winning positions in our key categories. This includes our domestic business (Canadians selling to Canadians) as well as imports and exports with key markets such as the United States.The role reports into the Canadian General Manager and will be a key member of the Canadian leadership team.ResponsibilitiesHelp your teams successfully build differentiated positions in Focus Verticals while supporting a broad category representation across the site.Set short and long term goals, budgets and put processes and programs in place to optimally achieve these goals.Build collaborative relationships and work cross-functionally with other Canadian and Global teams to achieve results (Marketing, Communications, Shipping, Authentication, Business Development, Product, Customer Service, etc.).Work closely with the US Verticals teams to adopt the best ideas and concepts.Support best practice business development efforts across your teams as they engage with top brands and sellers, developing pipelines, recruiting new sellers, onboarding, problem solving issues, developing positive relationships and helping them grow successful businesses on eBay.Capture feedback from customers and work collaboratively with product and operations teams to prioritize, design, test and launch new features.Support, mentor and lead 10-12 team members.Serve as a member of the Canadian leadership team, supplying thought leadership, working collaboratively and mentoring across the broader team.
