You will acquire new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive commercial success through strategic category management. Reporting to the Head of Business, you will be the key point of contact for suppliers, ensuring that we deliver an exceptional product mix to meet customer demands.TasksCategory Ownership: Manage key product categories from start to finish, defining and executing category strategy.Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with suppliers, distributors, and laboratories.Negotiation: Negotiate deals to secure the best value and favourable terms for exclusive partnerships and promotions.P&L Management: Take full ownership of the P&L for assigned categories, setting ambitious revenue targets.Inventory Management: Collaborate with suppliers and the Demand Planner to ensure optimal product availability and manage inventory levels.Promotional Campaigns: Run promotional campaigns that align with market trends and consumer needs.Performance Monitoring: Continuously assess supplier relationships and use data-driven insights to optimize efficiency and profitability.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align strategies and resolve challenges.RequirementsExperience: At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or category management, preferably in e-commerce or retail.Negotiation Expertise: Proven experience in leading high-stakes negotiations with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining product quality and availability.Strategic Vision: A strong record of accomplishment of driving category growth, managing P&L, and aligning business goals with supplier partnerships.Analytical Mind-set: Data-driven decision-making skills with experience in demand forecasting, performance analysis, and inventory management
