La Fundación de Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario de la Princesa announces a position for a Research Assistant for the Molecular Biology Service Research Unit under the direction of Dr. Elena Fernández Ruiz.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology with a GPA of 7.4 and a Master's in Molecular Biomedicine, Immunology, or similar.
License for laboratory animal experimentation.
EXPERIENCE Experience in molecular biology techniques: nucleic acid extraction and qPCR.
Experience in Biochemical Techniques: Western Blot.
Experience in flow cytometry and analysis techniques.
Handling of cell cultures.
OTHER Presentations at conferences and publications.
Specialized courses in cytometry/data analysis: 1/course.
Advanced handling of software and analysis programs: GraphPad, R, Python3.
Image programs: Photoshop, InDesign, FlowJo.
Participation in research projects.
Scientific publications.
TASKS TO BE PERFORMED Gene expression studies.
Western blot.
In vivo studies of the immune response after immunization.
RNA isolation and analysis: qPCR.
Flow cytometry.
Primary cell cultures.
Data analysis.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The selected person will work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, and the contract duration will be linked to the research project "Contribución de la variación genética en la Tirosina quinasa 2 (TYK2) a la infección y neoplasia." (PI22/00428).
The contract amount will be €38,000 per year (including base salary, proportional part of bonuses, and salary costs).
This contract is made in accordance with the provisions of art.
