ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST Job Function/Purpose: Successful applicant will be assigned to the Accounts Payable department.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: guide and direct international locations and/or suppliers on the payables process, ensuring they understand the process flow, timely and accurate invoice submission requirements, as well as system enhancements, training, and communications.
Duties may include initiating payments, processing invoices, reconciliations, process enhancement projects, vendor master information maintenance, and sub-ledger closing.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following: Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment, including treating invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system.
Process employee expense reports, including verification of receipts and coding.
Prepare payment runs and manual payments.
Responsible for monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure all accounts payable policies and procedures are adhered to including vendor approval, invoice processing, and travel-related expenses.
Manage vendor relations and build effective partnerships.
Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing invoices and purchase orders.
Assist the team with gathering support for all audits, including pulling documentation.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in accounting, administration, or equivalent.
2 – 3 years relevant experience required.
Intermediate skills in using Excel.
Knowledge of SAP, M3, and D365 is desirable.
Multi-lingual; French native and English is a must.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Thorough understanding of general accounting.
Adherence to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for accounting deliverables.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and business partners.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain an organized structure.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.
Accurate with a strong attention to detail.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
