We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.Major ResponsibilitiesIn this position, a QA Professional oversees the Product Line project scopes for project development, engineering reviews for Quality aspects, and field construction site project functions, including related vendor activities.
This is to ensure the Westinghouse requirements are maintained to meet the Westinghouse QA Program and the Customer requirements.Verifying that internal work scopes by Westinghouse Engineering, Product Lines, and Manufacturing organizations meet the QMS, Level 2 Procedures, Codes and Standards, and Customer requirements.Reviewing and approving procedures, field change requests, drawings, Project Plans, PQPs, and other project and Quality-related documents.Performing internal assessments of the Westinghouse processes to ensure compliance.Supporting internal and external audits.Verifying that all work performed at Westinghouse locations and at Customer sites is according to design requirements, Codes and Standards, and project contract agreements.Performing and documenting Quality surveillance oversight of the Westinghouse field construction site work scopes for installation, modifications, repairs, assembly, construction, and testing.Ensuring work is following approved instructions and specifications, Inspection and Test Plans, or Quality plans respecting "verification," "hold," and "witness points."
Performing assigned Witness/Hold/Review points as identified in Inspection and Test Plans or Quality plans as required.Monitoring Westinghouse sites and field construction work and verify the preparation and maintenance of the Quality records to the final completion of the required scope.Ensuring that any deficiencies and nonconformances related to materials, workmanship, and processes are followed through and have acceptable disposition.Performing and/or oversee in-process welding, machining, NDT, and other inspection processes.Performing pre-shipment reviews and accepting the product at Westinghouse facilities.Initiating "Stop Work" when necessary to ensure compliance to procedures, processes, and Codes.Performing as an Advisor to the Project Manager to ensure conformance to the Quality Program.Interfacing with customers and serving as the primary interface with the Authorized Nuclear Inspector (ANI), American Nuclear Insurance Inspector (ANII) or other regulatory authorities.Managing and directing the Quality Control (QC) staff (contractors) for project implementation when the QC function is Westinghouse's scope.Providing Quality Program Indoctrination to the Project Team along with the Project Manager.Additional RolesIn addition to the above activities as his main role, he may perform or provide support to others in the following roles, as defined in procedure QA-2.6:Project Quality ProfessionalSupplier Quality ProfessionalManufacturing Quality ProfessionalWhat You Can ExpectWe know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
