This position will be responsible for leading the design and commissioning of new launches of gauges for EU plants being part of the project cross-functional team. The result is the development of innovative exterior and interior products and processes that create value for customers and consumers and a positive impact on our environment and society.What You Will DoUse of company and industry standard processes and tools to plan, design approval, manage, and validate gauges for measurement of components and assemblies.Review and approve gauge calibrations, certification, work instruction, and repeatability and reproducibility.Verify tolerance/engineering specifications, locators, and measuring points.Travel to field, vendor facility, and job sites for product inspection and gauge validation.Determine functional and dimensional acceptability of gauge during first article inspection.Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis.Support production plant during launches.Basic administration of responsibilities and documents.Assist in resolving gauge-related customer and internal inquiries.Assist Sales with technical support.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering.Experience in design of gauges/checking fixtures/products for automotive sector (location systems, fixation systems, statistics studies R&R).Good communication skills, proactive, and team worker.Experience working in project new launches.Experience with supplier management.Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Ability to travel on occasions.Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).Economic thinking.Fluent in English and Spanish.What Will Put You AheadExperience with CAD environment (CATIA, 3D tools, NX, SolidWorks) tools and CAM machining programming.Statistics software (Minitab).Knowledge of CMMS systems.#J-18808-Ljbffr
