Platforms & Financial Services
Adyen is expanding beyond payments by building an entire suite of embedded financial services tailored for platforms, marketplaces, SaaS businesses, on-demand platforms, and crowdfunding platforms. Our team's mission is to enable these platforms to manage their global payments and financial services seamlessly through API integrations or hosted solutions.
With our solutions, platforms can:
Run onboarding, verification, and compliance processes across multiple markets.
Manage payments and trigger faster payouts and bank transfers in all preferred currencies.
Offer value-added services like capital lending and the issuing of payment cards and bank accounts.
Our team is responsible for developing the technology behind this unified platform, focusing on the following areas. We are looking to hire for the following different teams:
Open Banking: Develop cutting-edge Open Banking solutions that allow customers to access their financial data and make payments using open APIs. Work closely with banks and fintechs to drive innovation and deliver seamless payment solutions.
Liquidity Management: Create advanced liquidity management tools that help businesses manage cash flow and optimize liquidity. Collaborate with financial and payment providers to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.
Bank Accounts: Build robust bank account management systems that integrate seamlessly with Adyen's platform, enabling businesses to handle payments and transactions effortlessly.
Your role:
Build and maintain our distributed high-performance platform.
Be part of a diverse and inclusive team.
Launch fast and iterate often, bringing code live that impacts many businesses and shoppers.
Be fully responsible from initial design to bringing new functionality live.
Identify and improve parts of the platform to make it more robust and scalable.
Collaborate across teams and time zones, review code, and be open to feedback.
Help maintain our core financial data processes and work on our finance infrastructure to keep it scalable, reliable, and secure.
Who you are:
Mid to Senior Software Engineer with at least 3+ years of experience working with object-oriented programming languages (Java).
Flexible, a team player, with an eye for detail.
Able to take ownership and lead a project, enjoying writing testable code.
Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English.
Proficient in creating performant database queries and table structures.
Our Tech Stack: Java 17, Web Services (RESTful), SQL/PostgreSQL using MyBatis (ORM), Tomcat, Gradle, CockroachDB, and Elasticsearch.
