ICE Consultants (KPS group) is setting up a new team of Java Developers located in the city center of Barcelona (Passeig de Gracia).
This team will work on innovative projects (E-Commerce) with Agile methodologies on a global basis.
We are looking for Software Developers willing to learn new technologies and make a step forward in their career by working in an English-speaking environment with colleagues and customers from all around Europe.
After receiving training about our business and methodologies (Rapid Transformation, Agile, User Experience), you will be part of a team in charge of delivering high-quality software for big multinational companies.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Software design:
Delivering technical specifications for approval by the project manager and execution by developers.
Translating logical designs into physical designs and producing detailed design documentation.
Guaranteeing that user needs have been met and removing errors and deviations from specifications to achieve user-friendly processes.
Software development:
Designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting complex programs and scripts from specifications using our company standards and tools.
Focusing on creating high-quality code and developing Java-based services and applications using J2EE, Spring Framework, and Web Services.
Reviewing your own work and leading reviews of less experienced colleagues to ensure high-quality code.
Assessment and continuous improvement:
Assessing and studying emerging technologies and products within your sphere of influence.
Providing detailed advice regarding the applications by proposing new ways of working.
Incorporating feedback and input to constantly improve the applications.
Consulting and management (if desired):
If you are willing, you would have the opportunity to take on responsibilities in consulting and management fields, such as ensuring development deadlines, assisting the consultants in implementation tasks (functional design, configuration of vendor's software), or mentoring junior developers.
