Offer Description
We are seeking to recruit an assistant, with a university degree, for the development of the project Endowing Sustainable Cybersecurity in the Internet of Things - Cybersecurity for the KISON group of the IN3 (Internet Interdisciplinary Institute) of the UOC.
The aim of the project is to improve IoT security and privacy with watermarking techniques.
Responsibilities: Design and implement advanced security and privacy solutions: create and integrate blockchain and L2 based technologies that guarantee confidentiality, integrity and resilience of data in distributed systems while maintaining system sustainability.Evaluate the performance of the developed solutions: analyse key metrics such as scalability, latency and energy consumption to optimise performance and ensure their viability and sustainability in real environments.Adapt solutions to specific use cases: investigate and model the implementation of proposed technologies in practical contexts, ensuring alignment with business or industry requirements.Document and present results: produce scientific papers, technical reports and presentations to communicate the progress, benefits and challenges of the developed solutions to both technical and non-technical teams.
The successful candidate will be awarded a temporary full-time employment, starting on 3 January 2025.
The reference headquarters will be located at 22@, Rambla del Poblenou, 156, in Barcelona. However, at the UOC we work with an open work model that combines teleworking with face-to-face work, depending on organisational needs and the nature of the tasks.
Requirements: Research Field: Computer science
Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.Master's degree in Cybersecurity.Relevant knowledge of Blockchain and smart contract programming.Knowledge of operating systems and networks.Knowledge of security and privacy.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.
