Description: We are currently looking for 2 BU Category Managers.
One will manage the Engineering and Site Services, and the second role is for Substation Automation and Communication Equipment.Mission Statement: Lead for the assigned spend a short term and medium-term compliant, resilient and sustainable sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, reliability of supplies and supply performance.
Lead contracts and service level agreement negotiations in line with factory and HUBs expectations to deliver price, lead time and Terms & Conditions information and control its usage in local ERP systems.
Define and mandate the Supply Quality and Development team on Supplier Management activities.Main Activities:Analyze commodity spend, market dynamics, and price developments to improve the category strategy and plan (using CIPS methodology) in accordance with business needs and HE procedures and regulations.
Maintain cross HUB collaboration for the assigned category.
Align on the strategy with key stakeholders and communicate on a regular basis.Deliver on the targets for KPIs for the BU spend with a focus on cost, quality, and timely delivery.Lead Demand collection process including detailed factory/HUBs requirements.Manage/Run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable.Distribute pricing, lead times, MOQ (if applicable), and Terms & Conditions information to the units and control its usage in the local ERP systems.Improve on tender and project material costing.
Run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable.Promote cost breakdown analysis, should costing, and run regular benchmarks.Oversee the supplier relationship with regular review of contract execution, supply performance, improvement activities, and future planning.Lead supplier qualification for those in scope, perform risk assessment, and plan and assign audits to Supply Quality & Development Engineer.Based on performance data, evaluate, define, and monitor improvement measures for selected suppliers.Act as resolution owner on escalated topics as mapped in the escalation matrix.Manage claims in order to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy.Work closely with other functions to initiate, promote, and support projects and bring value on total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, quality, cash, lead time, and material availability.Live Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.#J-18808-Ljbffr
