The test automation engineer role is intended to drive automation first approaches, using new and existing frameworks to help us deliver high quality, market leading Cloud Data Integration software.What you will be doingAs a Quality Engineer you'll be spending a majority of your time hands on in the Test Automation of software for the Matillion ProductsAssist in the maintenance of existing automationContribute to scrum planningEmbrace a shift-left mentality to testingBe effective at manual testing and be on a journey to learn automation skills and toolsWhat we are looking forDemonstrates a QA mindset with the ability to challenge where appropriate and improves QA practicesKnowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Cypress or PACTExperience and knowledge of using existing CI & CD servicesOpen to learning and self-development through video tutorials, self-study and asking for supportAbility to identify process gaps and lead on technical challengesKnowledge of Databases and query languages (SQL)Knowledge of Behavioural Driven Development tools such as Cucumber or similarExperience working in a fast paced, agile environment following Scrum methodologyPersonal capabilitiesCommunicating EffectivelyCollaborative WorkingProblem SolvingForward ThinkingAchieving ResultsAt Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is €33,000 - €45,500, but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
