.Job Overview The contract Technical Specialist provides administrative support, assists in development of technical standards and program material as well as in quality control review for industry recognized certifications like Textile Exchange portfolio and Responsible Source. Program certification allows companies to leverage their certified products in the market and confirm compliance to specified criteria. The Technical Specialist actively supports the Program Manager in completing ongoing program maintenance, client billable work, conducting audits, ensuring conformance with corporate and program quality control requirements, and other tasks as assigned. This is a contract position. Relevant Programs Textile Exchange GRS, RCS, RAF, CCS, Responsible Source Standard. Roles and Responsibilities Provide administrative support and facilitate communication between peers, clients, consultants and managers. Assist in standards and program documentation. Support quality control activities such as technical report reviews, program document control, document and track client conformance issues; internal and external accreditation audits. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the standards relevant to certification programs. Coordinate and assist in both onsite (if required) and desk audits for both domestic and international clients as assigned. Complete clearly written audit reports following program requirements. Support regional sales. Training. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, science, technical or environmental field. Fluent in English, both written and spoken communication. Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken communication. Professional experience or working knowledge of manufacturing processes, third-party certification, or supply chain management. Professional experience in both written and verbal client communication. Professional experience in standards development. Highly proficient at prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines. Thrives in a deadline driven environment by completing complex tasks and deliverables on-time. Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Able to interpret standard requirements. Detail-oriented. COVID-19 vaccination status will be requested to support client requirements, as needed. Your response is optional. Additional Preferred Skills Professional and technical experience as a lead auditor in a relevant field. Lead Auditor status in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SMETA, WRAP, Textile Exchange, SA8000 or other relevant standard. Experience or working knowledge of textiles, plastics, jewelry, supply chains and sourcing. Bilingual or Multilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, French, German, or Dutch both written and spoken. Physical Requirements This is an office based job, which could require travel to offsite customer sites. Sit 6+ hours per day. Keyboarding 6+ hours per day
