SQL SERVER DBA/Admin/Administrator, English speaking WORK PERMITS CAN BE ORGANISED IF REQUIRED WORK CONDITIONS: 3 days on per week, 2 days remote per week
SQL Server Specialist/DBA, English Speaking DBA/data background. Experience maintaining databases as well as checking performance/optimizing the database given we are a highly data intensive operation - essentially a DBA profile. The position also has a development component in Azure SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory. Ideally, we are looking for a combination of a DBA together with some of these development type aspects as well. Other requisites are Azure SQL, SSIS and Azure Data Factory. Skills: Good understanding of T-SQL programming and SSIS platform.Understanding of concepts, frameworks and benefits of NoSQL databases and multi-clustered databases (SaaS).Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success.Wide-ranging experience troubleshooting and solving complex technical problems.Excellent time-management skills.Great interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure.Fluent in English. Responsibilities: Lead the transition to a multi-cluster database (SaaS).Development of high-quality database and data warehouse solutions.Develop, implement and optimise stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.Ability to translate requirements for BI and Reporting to Database and reporting designs.Ability to understand data transformation and translation requirements and which tools to leverage to get the job done.Ability to provide production support for Data Warehouse issues such as data load problems, transformation/translation problems etc.Actively test and clearly document implementations, so others can easily understand the requirements, implementation, and test conditions.Ability to understand end-to-end data integration requirements and response time SLA's to build data-driven solutions that provide best in class customer experience.Contribute to new initiatives that enhance any Client's data platform.Interact with a variety of developers, data specialists, business analysts, external consultants and the management team.Become proficient with the different systems and their interactions and dependencies.Participate in other IT/risk/quant related projects. Operational: Be aligned with our ISO Certification standards for databases security.Monitor the health status of data warehouse and SSIS jobs daily.Act on any issues raised after the monitoring.Investigate exceptions regarding asset movements.Ensure all work is documented by agreed standards to ensure consistency of approach and to comply with audit requirements.Act as a backup of other members of the team.
