Position Snapshot: Location: Global IT Hub Barcelona (Esplugues de Llobregat) Type of Contract: Permanent Stream: IT Security & Compliance Type of work: Hybrid Work Language: Fluent Business English The role: In this position and under the guidance and supervision of the IT Security & Compliance Product Stream Operations Manager, you will ensure effective Vendor Management practices and capabilities are executed:
You will work in regular collaboration with IT Security & Compliance Product Portfolio Specialists and vendor management practitioners in Nestlé. You will liaise with members of the Finance, Procurement and portfolio management communities to ensure that all contracts are processed, actioned, upkept and updated, consistently with our procurement, financial and vendor management guidelines and in alignment with all systems and processes used across Nestlé IT. Activities include resolving contract recording and invoicing issues, following up on operational activities, responding to requests from product managers and other parties and producing reports ensuring that data is accurate and compliant with governance rules, performing maintenance routines and corrective actions on deviations wherever appropriate. You will ensure that costs are recorded accurately on the relevant recording systems as defined by IT Portfolio Management and Finance. You will be able to provide advice and recommendations by analyzing multiple views of the Product/Project portfolio data down to product/project/vendor level. You will have the opportunity to streamline and improve the management and administration of processes related to the product/project/vendor portfolios. You will support specific projects and programs. You will represent the Security & Compliance product stream in various forums and meetings within the Information Technology organization. What you'll do: Vendor Management activities for the Product Groups, including defining and executing vendor governance, supporting the management and definition of vendor contracts, shaping demands, developing relationships, and management of financial processes related to sourcing. Guide the teams on operational best practices, tools, and ways of working to ensure alignment with the O-CIO and transversal streams. Be a champion for continuous improvement in every aspect of our operations, demonstrating curiosity and enthusiasm for automation and new technologies such as GenAI. Provide input on 3rd party risk management, developing and monitoring controls to ensure compliance of vendors. Identify and address issues in processes and systems related to the vendor management ecosystems such as invoicing, payments, credit notes, financial reporting. Support and influence the implementation of effective vendor ecosystem management practices, ensuring accountability and driving value delivery for the Product Groups. Drive external sourcing in-line with both the IT strategy and the IT sourcing strategy. Provide expertise on how to evaluate and identify optimal sourcing options. Define and participate in RFIs and RFPs to select product group solutions, when appropriate. Support the definition of statements of work, looking for ways to drive business value through increased vendor productivity and cost efficiency in service consumption. Coordinate & oversee the definition, testing, and implementation of cross product projects. Provide support to product/project managers on portfolio management tools, reports and vendor administration. Contribute to the IT Security & Compliance's strategy, goals and objectives. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in diverse vendor/procurement roles, at least 2 of which should be in IT. Demonstrated experience in operational roles that included vendor management and service management responsibilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders. Advanced designer/administrator of spreadsheets (e.g. MS Excel). Experience collaborating with vendor teams. Bonus Points if you... Knowledge of tools and technologies such as ServiceNow, SAP, Power BI. Experience in product/project portfolio management. Experience with financial and procurement/purchasing processes. Knowledge of 3rd party risk management. Experience with reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI), portfolio management tools (e.g. Service Now) and project management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps). Knowledge and experience of project management as well as Agile ways of working. Ability to collaborate, inspire & drive continuous improvement.
