Your Responsibilities
As a System Engineer, you take over the responsibility for design, planning, and deployment of Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Azure SQL Database infrastructures.
You will take over responsibility for operation, monitoring, and optimization of business-critical database systems (cloud or on-premise).
You will administer, configure, and implement database systems in standalone and cluster operation.
You will have the opportunity to develop processes and enhance the service.
You are interested in developing solutions within your ownership while you collaborate with others in projects and stay interested in new technologies.
You respond fast to requests or solve efficient incidents, with a service-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
You have a strong interest in working in a distributed team.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor in the field of computer science, successfully completed IT training, or comparable. We also welcome career changers with a high affinity for IT and at least 3 years of professional experience.
Analytical thinking, acting process-oriented, independent and structured worker, with a distinctive customer orientation.
Sound professional experience in the field of administration and operation of Microsoft SQL servers and strengths in the conception and implementation of solutions in the DBA environment.
Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE), sound knowledge in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory.
Virtualization (VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes) and administration, PowerShell scripting, experience is a plus.
Knowledge of project management methodologies (Prince2, PMP equivalent) is welcome.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Fluent (in writing and speaking) in English. Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
