In the IT Infrastructures area, we are looking for a Systems Engineer for Distributed Platforms team, with high background on managing large infrastructures, specially focused on Linux/Unix and Virtualization technologies.
What your responsibilities will be Acquire know-how and technical knowledge for all related Linux/Unix services.Technical reference for the managed services and last technical escalation point.In conjunction with Service Manager and Project Leader, define and implement Technical evolutive roadmap.Continuously assess and define how to optimize and improve the global infrastructure.Project analysis, design and implementation.Evolve and define best practices, guidelines and standards.Collaboration on cross projects and mostly implementation phase for strategic ones.Maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues, always with the aim of collaborating and achieving common goals.Who you are To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Knowledge and Skills Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.High quality communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving.Team player: Positive attitude and always willing to collaborate with others, thinking in the common benefit.Analysis, prioritization, and decision-making capacities based on criticality and impact for business.Ability to work under pressure and handle stress in large companies.Engaged and optimistic to face new challenges, focused on continuous improvement.Technical knowledge on Linux technologies or Red Hat 6, 7, 8, Debian, HP-UX.OpenLDAP, Red Hat Satellite.NAS, SAN, LVM.Disaster Recovery.Scripting: Bash, Ansible.High knowledge of servers' hardware: DELL PowerEdge, HPE C7000, Superdome SDX, Synergy Frames, Enclosures.Proven experience as an IT Engineer or Architect.In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix technologies and infrastructure best practices.Basic knowledge of Networks, Security, Storage and Backup systems.High level of spoken and written English.Desired Skills Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL) is a plus.In-depth knowledge of VMware platform (vCenter, ESXi, Clusters, vSAN, vROPS, SRM).Experience in planning and executing IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.Used to work on mission-critical environments with thousands of users and multiple support teams.Results oriented.What we offer It's a brilliant opportunity for someone with the right talents.
