We are looking to add a dynamic member for our IT department: IT Support Specialist Located in Alimos , Attica.
The challenges of the role The IT Support Specialist role is ideal for someone who enjoys being responsible for supporting our network infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of our IT systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies, including MikroTik, FortiGate, Cisco, Aruba, Azure Active Directory, Linux, PowerShell, SQL database administration, virtual machine management, and backup solutions (VEEM).
Experience with VPN technologies, including WireGuard, FortiClient, and ZeroTier, is also essential.
Key Responsibilities Manage and support network devices such as MikroTik routers, FortiGate firewalls, Cisco switches, and Aruba wireless systems.
Administer and troubleshoot Azure Active Directory, ensuring seamless user access and security.
Provide day-to-day support for Linux-based servers and systems.
Develop and manage PowerShell scripts for automation and system maintenance tasks.
Oversee the management, backup, and restoration of virtual machines, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
Monitor and maintain backup solutions, including VEEM, to ensure timely and reliable backups.
Administer SQL databases, ensuring performance, security, and efficient backups.
Troubleshoot and configure VPN solutions, including WireGuard, FortiClient, and ZeroTier, to ensure secure and reliable remote access.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across the organization.
Assist in configuring and maintaining network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
Provide end-user support via phone, email, and on-site assistance as required.
Participate in the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects and upgrades.
Document processes, procedures, and network configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
Required Skills Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
Hands-on experience with MikroTik, FortiGate, Cisco, Aruba, and Linux environments.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Experience with Azure Active Directory management and virtual machine administration.
Strong knowledge of SQL, database management, and administration.
Proficiency with VPN technologies, including WireGuard, FortiClient, and ZeroTier.
Experience with backup solutions like VEEM and virtualized environments.
Mid-level certifications in relevant areas will be considered an asset (CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent certifications in networking, database management, or virtualization) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
